Supper on the Porch

In the olden days—you know, several million years ago—a cheap date was hanging out on the front porch, drinking lemonade and dreaming about getting to third base. Nowadays you probably can’t afford a real front porch, but a (relatively) cheap date can still be had at 660 at the Angler’s, where every Thursday night throughout the summer the restaurant’s “Front Porch Supper Series” offers you and Mr./Ms. SO either a Gulf Coast shrimp boil or Florida crab boil. You get buttermilk cole slaw, hush puppies and cobbler of the day too, along with sweet corn, red bliss potatoes and garlic bread. And since nobody but a total wuss drinks lemonade on a date, can wash all that down with a $5 rum punch or $15 bucket o’ beers. But you’re still probably dreaming about getting to third base.
