Strike a Pose

There are few brands that evoke haute and glamour better than Vogue. But what’s better than Vogue? (Cover your eyes, Anna Wintour.) Italian Vogue, of course! Even an egomaniac like Tyra Banks knows it. That’s why she upgraded her prize package on this season’s America’s Next Top Model from a spread in the barely fashionable Seventeen to a spot in high-fashion Vogue Italia. And if it’s good enough for Tyra, you better believe it’s good enough for Art Basel Miami Beach. Enter socialite and Paper magazine editor-at-large Peter Davis, who will host Italian Vogue’s Basel Bash at Set, the only place in Miami where Pucci fabrics, bottle service, and a strict no-riffraff door policy come together to make an alternate reality of South Beach refinement — um, well, by nightclub standards. Davis, a born-and-raised Manhattanite, will have the sounds of resident DJ Chicco Secci to help him push the fashion-meets-art soirée over the edge. Set’s strict door policy means the cover charge depends on the doorman’s mood. (And gentlemen, if you arrive alone, the only way you’ll get in is if you buy a table.)
