Calling all nostalgia seekers: Stage Door is a 1937 screwball comedy, complete with all the way-back fixins. The plot follows a gaggle of young actresses crammed into a theatrical boarding house in New York while waiting for their big break on The Great White Way. Love affairs, despair, betrayals, wise-cracks, rejections, tragedy and, above all else, comedy.
