Scott Foundas Joins Village Media Group as Principal Film Writer

Hey, look who it is! It's Scott Foundas, the Film Society of Lincoln Center's former associate program director. And he's writing for us!

Village Media Group, New Times parent company, announced today that it hired Foundas as principal film reviewer.

After helping to choose films and organize events like the New York Film Festival for the past three years, Foundas is returning to his role as a critic. He worked as the film editor at our sister paper LA Weekly from 2005 to 2009.

"I am thrilled to be returning to the world of weekly movie reviewing and feature writing," said Foundas in a statement. "The VMG team of film critics publish exceptional work -- always lively and thought-provoking -- and I look forward to working alongside them."

Foundas officially begins his assignment December 3 -- just in time for the frenzied end of Oscar season. We can't wait to hear his take on Miami Connection.
