Rocky Horror Dance Party

Hey, Janet, we’ve got something to say. We really love the skillful way you beat the other girls to the preweekend party. Dammit, Janet, we love you! Every Thursday, Dammit Janet at the Electric Pickle becomes a live music and indie haven for the Wynwood set. No Rocky Horror corsets or fishnets required. Guest DJs and live bands perform for a crowd not looking to cross the causeway. Resident DJs Gran Torino and Tam & Desiree are always on the bill, while ladies get free drinks until midnight and patrons enjoy two floors of music without the club running interference. Usually there’s no cover, except for special events when promoters such as the Overthrow, who usually do a monthly shindig of sorts, bring national acts that would make any scene kid scream, “Oh, J-A-N-E-T, I love you so!”

KEEP MIAMI NEW TIMES FREE... Since we started Miami New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Miami, and we'd like to keep it that way. With local media under siege, it's more important than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" program, allowing us to keep offering readers access to our incisive coverage of local news, food and culture with no paywalls.
