Fans of manic stand-up chock full of random associations and funny voices can breathe a sigh of relief. After being admitted to a Miami hospital earlier this month in the midst of his "Weapons of Self-Destruction" tour, Robin Williams was transferred to Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, where he underwent successful heart surgery.

Williams's representatives previously announced the South Florida dates he had to postpone will be rescheduled this fall. "I got some great new material for the tour and can't wait to get back on the road... I'm thinking the next leg of the tour will be 'Weapons of Self-Destruction and Reconstruction!' " Williams said in a news release.

If his friend David Letterman is any indication, heart surgery shouldn't tame the funnyman's humor. [photo via Wikimedia Commons]

update: slightly unrelated, but look, David Letterman's gone and gotten married.
