So you like competitive sports, and you like to drink, but you wish you could mix the two without the unpleasant side effect of running 'til you puke.

Well, you can have your beer and drink it, too, all while winning cold-hard cash at the New Times Beer Pong Tournament Series, sponsored by Pabst Blue Ribbon and kicking off Friday, Feb. 21, at

Whiskey Joe's.

Registration is now open for two-member teams, and if you've got any kind of depth-perception at all, you should sign up immediately. How else are you going to get wasted and win $200 at the same damn time?

For just $10 (which covers your beer), you and your best drinking buddy can out-shoot the competition while enjoying the laid-back island atmosphere Whyskey Joe's is famous for. Besides drinks provided by PBR, you can take advantage of dirt-cheap food and drink specials. What is beer pong without some wings, amirite?

Even if you drink too much and only place second, you get $50, and that's, like, a million PBRs right there.

There will be four monthly rounds of bracket-style heats, and all finalists instantly qualify for the final round. Don't slack off or nothing, because the big prize at the end of the tunnel is $500.

Whether your currently in college or looking to teach these young beer-jockeys a thing or two, there's really no better way to beer pong. What have you got to lose?
