After a five-month hiatus, the Miami Art Museum is rebooting its monthly Thursday networker tonight with a rather fun exhibition featuring some of Miami's leading contemporary young professionals.
The museum corralled Sweat Records co-owner Lauren "Lolo" Reskin, filmmaker Juan Carlos Zalvidar, Supermarket Creative guru Michelle Leshem, Miami poet P. Scott Cunningham, industrial designer Tim Ronan, gastroPod chef Jeremiah Bullfrog, fashion and jewelry designer Nektar de Stagni, architects Adib Cure and Carie Penabad, artist Jason Hedges, and choreographer Ana Mendez to take part in Miami: 10 Images by 10 Creative Minds.
(Full disclosure: Cunningham is a New Times former assistant calendar editor and Ronan is a personal friend of Banana Republican).
Each one of them will be speaking about their involvement and their images. 10x10 is MAM's new effort to emphasize the networker's programming and get young professionals to not only chill out, but exchange ideas and inspirations. Program starts at 6 p.m. Admission is $10 for the general public. It is free if you are a member of the MAM Contemporaries.
