Chris D’Elia is a road-dog comedian. He reportedly performed 430 shows in 2011 alone. Highways across America are littered with the refuse of his dead jokes ringing through the echoes of existence. But the funny ones make it to the stage and explode rooms into hilarity. Audiences howl, honk, giggle, squawk, crack up, roll over, fall down, clutch their sides, pee their pants, and laugh like hyenas when he takes over the room. He’s a determined performer who started at the Laugh Factory LA in 2006 and went on to host his own Comedy Central one-hour special, plus claiming millions of YouTube hits, being interviewed by Conan, and counting Justin Bieber as his number one fan. D’Elia can also rip a heckler’s face off with a single turn of phrase. And he’s been crushing arenas, theaters, and concert halls all over the U.S. for his Under No Influence tour. Showtimes are 8 and 10:30 p.m. at the Colony Theatre (1040 Lincoln Rd., Miami Beach). Tickets cost $33 to $45. And if you appreciate offensive cultural humor drawing from audience interactions, this is the show for you. Call 305-434-7091 or visit colonytheatremiamibeach.com.
Fri., Oct. 24, 8 & 10:30 p.m., 2014
