There aren’t many places to spend a lazy afternoon more picturesque than the lush green acreage of Pinecrest Gardens (11000 S. Red Rd., Pinecrest). A stroll beneath the stunning landscape of thick, tangled hammocks will make you thankful you live in South Florida.
And this weekend at the South Motors Fine Arts Festival, you can explore the forested wetland and browse art all at once.
The fest will feature original art in categories including painting, mixed media, jewelry, sculpture, photography, and wearable goods made by 65 artists across the globe. There will be masterpieces on display (and for sale) by artists including the world-renowned Cuban painter Humberto Benitez, Indiana-based outdoor sculptor Joan Drizin, and local painter and muralist Phil Fung.
There will also be live music, tasty grub, and the Little Sprouts Zone, so you can ditch the kiddos awhile. Talk about a tropical paradise.
