Free Events This Week in Miami: Dominoes, Dinosaurs, and Jurassic World

After eight crazy nights of awkward family moments and too much food, we're guessing many of you are ready for a little break from the holidays. While we can't exclude the festive fun from our findings altogether — it's mid-December, after all — we've got plenty of cheap entertainment this week to add some much-needed variety to your social calendars.

  • Holiday Party at The LAB Miami: Come one, come all for the drinks, bites, and ugliest Christmas sweater contest!

  • Jurassic World at SoundScape: Watch Chris Pratt try to reign in a genetically modified dino monster.
  • FP: Reads/Fashion Project Book Club at Books & Books Bal Harbour: This month's book is Infinite Variety: The Life and Legend of Marchesa Casati by Scot D. Ryersson and Michael Orlando Yaccarino, a nonfiction account of the life of the eccentric Marchesa Casati, notorious in the early 20th century for her extravagant, exhibitionist ways.
