Free Events This Week: Beetlejuice, Boot Camp, and Adventures at Sea

Halloween's just a few weeks away. Thanksgiving comes a few after that. And then there's Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, take your pick. Which means you're about to be spending beaucoup bucks on friends, loved ones, neighborhood kids, and professional colleagues you secretly despise. Gotta love the holidays.

So, to help you save those precious pennies for more important causes, here's the best free stuff for you to get into this week. Enjoy.

  • Yoga in Peacock Park: Get some beginning of the week zen going with a little downward facing dog in the breezy Grove.
  • Bootcamp at Bayfront Park: If you're feeling more "obstacle course" than "Kumbaya," you can strain and sweat your way through an intense workout with some fellow masochists.

  • The Poseidon Adventure at SoundScape: Check out Gene Hackman in his younger years, fighting for survival on the high seas. They just don't make 'em like they used to!
