Food sustains your body, and art sustains your soul. Bring the two together and what do you have? A damn good thing.
That’s the fundamental concept behind FEAST Miami (Funding Emerging Art With Sustainable Tactics), whose mission is supporting artists by hosting pop-up dinners at art venues. The idea was made possible last year with the support of the Knight Foundation, and now in its second year, FEAST Miami is set to once again raise funds for a creative project with its latest dinner.
Artists of all sorts submitted proposals for funding, and five finalists have been selected. At the feast this Sunday, guests will be able to vote on their favorite project while dining on meals that have been “healthfully prepared with organic and locally sourced foods.”
