It's not easy having eyes all over the scene, being around to take in all the wild visuals at all the worthwhile places in the city. There are, however, those parties and gallery openings where a fortunate photographer can point and shoot. Every week, in collaboration with WorldRedEye, New Times will bring you a solid recap of all the experiences you may have missed around Miami in previous days. October 13, Pe?rez Art Museum Miami Core Creative Dinner on the Sunset Islands
Paul and Tina Tolles opened the doors of their impressive Sunset Island home for Pérez Art Museum Miami’s Core Creative members. Guests dined amidst an expansive installation of art curated by Kathryn Mikesell, founder of the Fountainhead Residency and Studios. Evening supported by Vacheron Constantin and Rutte Distillateurs. Décor by Sojo Designs.

October 14, Nick Cannon’s Birthday Celebration at Dirty Hairy at LIV
Hump day was brought to new heights as Nick Cannon came out to celebrate his birthday at Miami hotspot LIV. Cannon was wildin’ out as he played a killer set that kept the energies high until the early morning hours.

October 15, ART OF SLOW VIP Dinner with Zacapa Rum at Soho Beach House
NBA executive Jeff Sanchez hosted a one-of-a-kind dining experience with Zacapa Rum. The private Art of Slow-themed evening, curated by Amaris Jones, featured a five-course menu paired with a cocktail crafted to highlight the flavor profile of Zacapa Rum. Jeff Sanchez paid homage with a toast to Miami legend, Southern hip-hop pioneer and community activist Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell. 

October 15, District Sounds, Oigo at Palm Court
If you were hearing some killer music throughout the Miami Design District last week, you weren’t dreaming. Thursday marked as the first of District Sounds, a live music series in Design District’s Palm Court, bringing out Oigo. Guests enjoyed the sweet sounds while sipping sangria courtesy of Ella café. If you missed out fear not, District Sounds will continue weekly every Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.

October 15, SunTrust International Center Re-Launch Celebration
Crocker Partners celebrated the re-launch of the SunTrust International Center, where more than 150 commercial real estate brokers, local tastemakers, and celebrities were introduced to the properties new world class facilities with a lavish invite-only cocktail party. The property recently underwent an extensive $15 million renovation. The evening kicked-off with a Veuve Clicquot champagne reception and a performance by the National YoungArts Foundation jazz trio, as guests were transported to an extravagant affair on the tenth-level Bay view Sky Terrace.

October 17, 5th Annual South Florida Opulence Yacht Gala
The Fifth Annual South Florida Opulence Yacht Gala was an evening of pristine luxury including 5-star cuisine from award-winning chefs, fine wines, premium cocktails and premiere entertainment. Partners and sponsors of the evening included the Collection, Ferrari, Samuel Lynne Galleries, Brown & Brown, Van Cleef & Arpels, Restore Construction, California Closets, the Edenbaum Private Client Group, and Robovault.

October 17, Save North Beach & Vote 54’s Swim Miami Beach
Hundreds of open water swimmers and exercise enthusiasts flocked to Noth Miami Beach’s Ocean Terrace for a morning of fitness, family, and community. Supported by For A Better North Beach, Ocean Terrace Holdings, Swim Gym and Champion Sport Nutrition, the event included the First Annual Swim Miami Beach and an official Barbells for Boobs CrossFit Armed of North Miami charitable event. Spectators and swimmers watched the sunrise from the deco terrace of the Days Inn as they registered, sipped on Vita Coco and Muscle Milk and prepared for their upcoming race, the NoBe Mile. 

October 18, Sean “Diddy” Combs, French Montana, Lil Wayne, B.O.B, O.T. Genasis, & Mario at LIV on Sunday
LIV on Sunday never fails to end the week with a bang. Sunday, French Montana, Lil Wayne, B.O.B, Mario, and O.T. Genasis joined Sean “Diddy” Combs in closing out an epic weekend of this year's Revolt Music Conference.

October 19, Will Smith & Lewis Hamilton at Magnum Mondays at STK
Feel like treating yourself to a night of wining and dining like a fresh prince? It’s safe to say if Will Smith goes somewhere, you should too, and as of Monday that became official as he joined partiers including Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton for an unforgettable night at STK.

October 21, World Red Eye Cultural Exchanges at Pérez Art Museum Miami
Seth Browarnik gathered a panel of nightlife luminaries including Chris Paciello, David Grutman, Eric Milon, Navin Chatani, and Nicola Siervo, along with Emmy Award-winning filmmaker, Alfred Spellman (Cocaine Cowboys, Square Grouper, The U) as moderator. Together, they examined the vital role Miami's nightlife industry has had on the evolution of the city, both as an economic force and a real estate powerhouse.
