In addition to it's 45,000-square foot tent, Design Miami will also feature seven satellite instillations spread through out the area. Kaikai Kiki, the studio founded by famed pop-artists Takashi Murakami, will be featured for the first time at the fair. Glass Lab, Banner of Persuasion, Paperlove by Lumiaire, Al Sabah Art &Design Collections, and Altreforme will also have exhibitions.

Kara Walker uses silhouettes to explore issues like race, gender and violence. She recently had a solo show at the Whitney. She'll be participating in the Banners of Persuasion show in which acclaimed artists explore tapestry. Her tapestry, pictured above, is entitled A Warm Summer Evening in 1863.
Banners of Persuasion is currently showing in London, and will be seen in Miami at The Loft (NE 1st Court).
The Ladd Brothers will have works featured at the Glass Lab exhibit. More information on the duo at American Craft magazine. Glass Lab pairs The Corning Museum of Glass' expert glass makers with designers and artists.
The Al Sabah Art & Design Collection will feature contemporary and vintage design work mixing styles from the East and West, like this vintage sofa by Bokja.
Meta is the offshot of Mallett, a leading antiques house. Meta commissions new designers to create furniture, like this table by Asymptote. The exhibit will feature new works.
