If you're a total fiend for extreme art experiences, then you gotta drag your ass to O.H.W.O.W. this Friday night where a massive explosion of "Dadarhea" will be filling the gallery -- and maybe even your mouth.
Our official source (AKA the O.H.W.O.W. website) describes this imminent unnatural occurrence with the awesomely wordy clusterfuck: "An idea born from an absurd dream involving pee-filled Supersoakers and deep-fried laptops. It's a Dadaist pizzeria. It's idea-rhea. It's the video art equivalent to Fantasy Island -- where Devin Flynn is the Mr. Roarke to Jim Drain's Tattoo."
Granted, we've got no idea what the above paragraph is trying to say. But it sounds like a kickass time, right? See the cut for a couple of preview photos, some further explanation, and deets for both the opening and the afterparty.
Now as much as "Dadarhea" is an unknown quantity, there are a few hints floating around the blogosphere and splattered in the streets. To start, the second paragraph of O.H.W.O.W.'s announcement is way more informative, calling the show: "a free-form video workshop with a group of guest artists who pride themselves on confounding their audiences, allowing them to employ animation, live-action video (on location and green screen), musical performance, or any and all improvised & questionable behavior."

Next, the list of people partaking in this festival of anarchic shitsploitation is more or less complete. And it reads like the cool kids club elite ... We're talking Devin Flynn, Jim Drain, Naomi Fisher, Todd James, Alvaro Ilizarbe (alias Freegums), Jen Stark, Friends With You, and a couple dozen others.
And last, if New Times art critic Carlos Suarez De Jesus is someone who can be trusted, there will be "everything from a giant kleptomaniac puppet, to a disjointed karaoke chorus and a dingy full of boaters gobbled up during a shark attack." What? Huh? How? Exactly.
The opening for "Dadarhea." O.H.W.O.W., 3100 NW 7th Ave., Miami. The strangeness starts at 8 p.m., and it's free. Visit oh-wow.com.
