Cycle and Corsage

So prom was a disaster. Your date puked, your best friend spent the entire night crying in the bathroom, and the DJ played nothing but booty bass for drunk cheerleaders. That’s OK. For all but the scariest pep-squad types, prom is designed to suck. Now that you’re a grownup and into all of that green and healthy-living stuff, you can do it all over again — on your bike. This Sunday marks Emerge Miami’s second annual Bike Prom, which is a group ride rather than an actual dance. You’re still requested to dress up in your best for this gently paced spin around the city beginning at 8 p.m. at Government Center. Bring a date or come solo for a ride that will cover downtown, Brickell, Omni, and midtown before circling back. Bike Prom ends at the Vagabond, which will host its first annual ’90s Homecoming. Arriving on two wheels gets you reduced admission to the party and free parking. Take that, car-driving suckers.
