You don’t really need an excuse to drink margaritas by the gallon with a sombrero perched on your melon, but Cinco de Mayo is a pretty good one anyway. And the arrival of everyone’s favorite drinky-pants holiday means plenty of spots around town are serving up tequila, tacos, and other goodies in honor of our neighbors to the south.
Miami’s oldest bar might be the best place to celebrate Drinko de Mayo. The annual shindig at Tobacco Road (626 S. Miami Ave., Miami) is one of the city’s most festive fetes. The Road will have drink specials, guaranteed debauchery, and live music kicking off at 10 p.m. Call 305-374-1198.
