Art Basel is long gone, but we've been wondering if W magazine ever got a glance at our Bert Rodriguez spoof of its Kim Kardashian cover. The magazine hosted various talks at Design Miami/, so there was a very good chance that someone from the publication saw it.

Well, we finally know they have thanks to its editor's blog, which interviewed Bert Rodriguez on his homage to Kardashian's silver posterior. In the blog, Rodriguez talks about how the cover came to be:

"The paint was as cold as hell. That shit was freezing. And the studio is pretty cold too. And at one point I had to squat and have this woman with an airbrush underneath that area like she was trying to get the undercarriage of a car. It was just awful."

We can confirm this to be true (though, we seriously wish we couldn't), since we were there to witness it all.

Rodriguez also talks about meeting Mark Seliger, the photographer who shot Kardashian for the magazine, during Art Basel, but no word if the reality show princess has seen it for herself. Read Bert's full interview with W magazine here.
