Beat The Beat Up

Calling all aggressive beat-seekers: Italy's Nari and Milani are coming to Miami. They're in the running for DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs of 2012, and you can catch them dropping only the best in deep and thumping techno this Sunday at Set (320 Lincoln Rd., Miami Beach). These two have been making beautiful house music together since they met in 1996. They've had numerous hits under various aliases, such as Sunshine & Happiness, Gnor, and Gnuk. They came together for the most recent project in 2003, carving a strong niche with releases on Yellow Prod, Juicy Music, and Size Records. With the release of their hit "Atom" earlier this year, they've been launched at full speed to the forefront of the edge. If you've been partying at LIV, you've probably heard the song's unrelenting drop -- and loved it. The duo's progressive and combative sound has won them fans across genres. Swedish House Mafia, Pete Tong, David Guetta, Tiësto, Fatboy Slim, and Laidback Luke all sing their praises. And once you've experienced a set, you're nearly guaranteed to join the chorus. The party starts at 11 p.m., and tickets cost $30. Call 305-531-2800 or visit setmiami.com.
