At charming aqua-color Wynwood bistro Out of the Blue, a Jamaican Art Party will be in full swing from 6:00 to 11:00 p.m. The exhibition features a vibrant array of imported paintings – landscapes, portraits, abstracts, and other works -- from the likes of Angela Staples, El Pedio Robinson, and Mabusha Dennis. Or pull up one at the Heart of the Grove Art Gallery & Gift Shop (3439 Main Hwy., Coconut Grove). The creative haven is celebrating its first anniversary with Chair Affair, a weekend-long celebration and exhibition of seats designed as a competition among local artists. Tonight from 6:00 to 9:00 the gallery opens the show and hosts a silent auction, proceeds of which will benefit the nonprofit GroveHouse Artists’ Cooperative and St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church.
