Artfully Exposed

Remember the scene in Titanic where Rose asks Jack to paint her like one of his French girls, wearing only the heart of the ocean diamond? Kate Winslet’s 15 minutes of nudity sparked fantasies in women everywhere to want to be immortalized and eroticized via art. Well, that fantasy has become reality for the 250 subjects of the pieces on display at the fifth-annual ARTundressed. The three-day creative nude art festival happening at McCormick Place (111 SW Third St., Miami) in downtown this Thursday through Saturday will arouse the senses through its diverse and exciting programming. See rare erogenous works by 120 artists from around the world, 80 of whom are slated to attend the exhibition, so you can pick their brain about what turned them on to nude art. Attendees with a competitive spirit can duke it out in one of the contests, which range from live drawing, photo-shoot sessions, and body painting. If dressing up (or down) is more you thing, chic and provocative fashion is welcomed and encouraged. Advance tickets cost $15 for single-day general admission or $35 for the weekend. This Saturday at TSL Lounge (167 NW 23rd St., Miami), closing-night party — dubbed "The Good, the Bad, and the Naughty" — invites everyone to play in leather, latex, or costume, turning fantasy into reality.
