A Fruity Summer

Summer heat and humidity: bad. Summer fruit: good. Rare tropical fruit samples at the Redland Summer Fruit Festival: even better. There are local wines and food too, plus the chance to nibble on fruititarian delicacies that our nontropical countrymen can only dream about. Just cruise down to Homestead's Fruit & Spice Park Saturday and Sunday, June 11 and 12, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fork over a miserly eight bucks (kids under 11 get in free) and it's all yours.
