Miami Beach Cinematheque (1130 Washington Ave., Miami Beach) will host a screening of the made-in-Florida film Blood Feast this Thursday at 9 p.m., with director Herschell Gordon Lewis in person to introduce the movie. Considered the first “splatter film,” the 1963 flick follows an Egyptian caterer who kills women in suburban Miami and uses their body parts to bring a dormant Egyptian goddess to life, while an inept police detective tries to track him down. Admission costs $10 to $12. Visit mbcinema.com.
