Ruth's Chris appears as though it has been there forever. The entrance is marked by towering palm trees and rustic stone tiles that lend an Old World look to the pristine new property. Of course the thing to eat here is beef. From delectable filets to a hearty cowboy rib eye, all are cooked quickly and served on plates so hot they'll turn a medium rare into a well-done if you're not careful. Expect the usual steak-house sides such as mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, caesar salad, as well as asparagus in hollandaise sauce, and onion rings. Everything is priced a la carte, making it easy to overspend at this rapidly expanding, New Orleans-based chain.
