It's a shame that our government has put these people in this situation. Almost as if they have no rights. Isn't the purpose of serving time in jail the punishment and then conform back into society once time is served? I believe the governement should provide options for them if they are putting them in a situation where they can't live with their family. What about a halfway house in the redlands or by the airport? What are they going to do once they run out of room? Are they waiting for the people under the bridge to get hostile enough that they will turn on each other? It's become very apparent the people in office only care about their wallets and their immediate circle. How sad this city has become. I have faith that karma will get them back, one day. And to those poor soles that served their time and are made to continue serving after their release, your day will come when you will shine. Just hang on until then. Live has a way of coming around again and making things right.

This is absolute and total insanity. Where are the REAL Christians? Totally inhumane for the State of Florida and its citizens to pass such laws that do more harm than good.

To think that we treat men and women better at GITMO and give them clean restrooms, healthcare, medicine, no rodents, bible, shoes wash their clothes. What and where is the Human Rights people or is now China USA?

I honestly cannot believe what I am seeing here. I am a childhood victim of a sexual assault and I can say this sickens me. These people have the right as not only humans but as Americans to live safe after completing the sentence that was handed down to them. If you wanted to issue this type of punishment to them you should have gave them this instead of jail. this leaves them completly open for attack by their victims and their victims families. And how do you tell your wife and kids that you cant come home because a judge ordered you to be homeless? And live under a cold, damp, dangerous, and horribly loud bridge? Well i say this to the families of those ordered to live here... That bridge has to be maintained just like any other dwelling run by the city. You have the right to proper plumbing, electric, and sewage as a resident of the Julia Tuttle projects..lol And also I wonder if the city considered the amount of money they would have to pay out in the instance that this bridge collapsed?

I say they deserve it. Think next time before you try to abuse a child. Hmm, maybe flashing someone isn't the best idea! I like this punishment. They should not be allowed back into society. Perhaps we could set them adrift on some kind of raft-island.

A pro bono attorney could help these people as it can be proven from numerous gov studies that residential restrictions DO NOT have any impact on recidivism rates as almost 90% of all child sex crimes are first time offenders. This kind of forced psychological and financial stress can probably be proven to cause financial crimes and less safety to the community as these human beings who have already served their sentences struggle to live a lifetime banishment....a victim under a bridge.... where are all the social workers and activists fighting for humanitarian causes around the globe? Remember many offenders were bated in by internet stings or were teenagers having sex with very willing girlfriends and 97% of pediphiles were molested as children..... if you are angry at this because your child was molested you may be even more angry if your son's trauma causes him to be fixated sexually on children (which unfortunately often is the case) and he ends up under this same bridge....this is the life cycle....he would be an innocent child victim who turns into an offender, who serves time then becomes a victim all over again. Karma? We all need to intervene to heal the cancer with multi faceted intervention programs and not stoop to ignorance and denial which is the root of this exponentially growing and self perpetuating problem that turns victims into abusers who create more victims.... there are tens of tousands of these victims in your neighborhoods....by statistics alone the ones under the bridge are the least likely to harm your child.
