Controversial artist Gregory de la Haba is back in Miami after causing a stir during Art Basel with his installation "Between Nothingness And Paradise." Starting May 5, Miami Beach's World Erotic Art Museum will exhibit De la Haba's "Surfboards and Skateboards." Here are some pieces from that collection as well as images from the aforementioned work. Needless to say, some of the images are extremely graphic.
This month, Miami Beach celebrated its first city-sanctioned gay pride, dragon boats invaded the waters of Biscayne Bay, Lady GaGa just danced at Revolution, and Black Sheep Bar crowned a winner for its gothic beauty pageant.
Colombian rock en español icons Aterciopelados performed at the North Beach Bandshell Friday night as part of the Rhythm Foundation's TransAtlantic Festival. Also on the bill was Brazilian musician Curumin.
Shockingly, Miami Beach has never had a city-sanctioned Gay Pride parade until this past weekend. Grand marshals Patti Labelle and Richie Rich helped kick off the festivities, while India, Fanny Lu and the Miami Gay Men's Chorus performed live.
