Puerto Rico hosted the most important surfing contest of the year a few weeks ago. Hordes of surfers and fans flocked to the undisclosed beach in Puerto Rico to witness Kelly Slater claim his 10th world title. This was the first substantial surf contest held in Puerto Rico since the World Surfing Championships in 1968.
