Beer Lovers Celebrate J. Wakefield Brewing Bottle Release

On Saturday, July 15, J. Wakefield Brewing fans started lining up at 5 a.m. for its latest bottle release. Some came as far as Knoxville, Tennessee, and drank, smoked cigars, and threw Frisbees to pass the time until the noon opening. J. Wakefield released three beers: Voodoo Woman, an imperial stout aged in Caribbean rum barrels with coconut and almonds; Han Shot First, a bourbon-barrel-aged imperial stout with smoked ghost peppers, cocoa nibs, and vanilla bean; and Mongo, a brandy-barrel-aged English-style barleywine.
