If you're a beer lover, you know that many other parts of the country love their boutique hops and barley -- and certain locals can tell you the block that stuff was brewed at depending upon the smell. In South Florida, we have Land Shark. If that isn't Miller in disguise I don't now what it is.

That's why I'm looking forward to the Urbanite Bistro's collection of astoundingly interesting brews from around the globe. Here it is:

Course I

Dales Pale Ale, Oscar Blues Brewing, Lyons, Colorado

Alligator Corndog with Mango Ketchup

Course II

Ayinger Dunkel, Brauerei Aying, Aying, Germany

Diver Scallop & Asian Vegetable Napolean with Clementine-Thai Chile Preserve

Course II

Terrapin Hopsecutioner IPA, Terrapin Beer Co, Athens, Georgia

Morrocan lamb Empanada with Apricot Gastrique

Course IV

Gaurde Dog Biere de Gaurde, Flying Dog Brewery, Frederick, Maryland

Roasted Grouper with Pineapple Beurre Blanc, Coriander Sticky Rice and Sautéed Haricot Vert

Course V

Arrogant Bastard Ale, Stone Brewing Co., Escondido, California

Duck Confit with Kumquat-Rum Marmalade, Roasted Fingerlings and Dressed Greens

Course VI

Rogue Shakespeare Stout, Rogue Brewery, Newport, Oregon
Flourless Chocolate & Espresso Tart
