The Dutch Offers Miami Spice Cocktail and Wine Pairings
The Dutch has created a Miami Spice beverage menu. Drink up!
The restaurant's mixologist, Robert Ferrara and somelier, Nicholas Abuabara, have created a specially-priced selection of hand crafted cocktails, beers, and wines (both by the glass and bottle), designed to be paired with the Spice menu, which is available for both lunch and dinner from Sunday through Thursday until September 30. The cocktails are specially priced at $9 each and are available only with the Miami Spice menu ($39 dinner, $23 lunch).
Mixologist Robert Ferarra told Short Order that he and Abuabara wanted to find their own ways to embrace Miami Spice. "I made five cocktails that are not on our regular menu. I went all out, using fresh, local ingredients. I wanted a cocktail for everyone."
In addition to the five cocktails, Ferrara is offering two non-alcoholic "mocktails" ($5), a SoBe punch and a refreshing cucumber thyme lemonade, as well as Virgil's root beer ($4).
Abuabara's special Spice wine list includes selections starting at $25 per bottle and $7 per glass. There are five whites, six reds, a rose, and a Moscato D'Asti for dessert.
Specialty cocktails include:
Magic City Collins (pineapple, rosemary, lime, Spring 44 Gin, soda water)
Dutch Side Swizzle (red bell pepper infused agave nectar, lemon, Flor de Cana Rum, swizzled and topped with Angostura bitters)
Watermelon Crush (watermelon, cilantro, jalapeño, lemon, Russian Standard Vodka, and cracked black pepper)
IPA Cocktail (lemon, grapefruit infused Aperol, homemade orgeat, Stone IPA)
Also available (not shown), is the Southern Peach cocktail, made with peach infused Four Roses and homemade southern-style bitters in a creme de peche rinsed glass.
