Tacontento in South Beach Closed?
A year after opening its doors, the Guatemalan-based tacqueria chain Tacontento seems to have given up. The outdoor furniture is haphazardly stacked indoors along with what looks like some plumbing pipes and the inside "bar agave" area with the large blowing angels looks like it's been hit by a twister.
Short Order made several calls to the restaurant without any response nor call back to numerous messages. Although the Web site is still up and running, its Facebook page has not been updated since July 2.
Tancontento -- which loosely translates to "be happy" -- seems to be anything but.
