Police Searching for Suspect in Burger King Armed Robbery
Miami Police are on the lookout for a suspect involved in an armed robbery at a local Burger King restaurant.
According to NBC 6, a gunman walked into the fast-food restaurant at 3051 Coral Way this past Monday around 9:30 p.m., jumped the counter, and headed straight for the back area. The suspect kept his head down to avoid clear identification by cameras.
Police responded quickly, but the suspect escaped through the rear door. It is not known how much money the robber took.
Miami Police told Short Order that they are pursuing a lead, although no arrests have been made.
This is the most recent incident in a series of crimes occurring in Miami restaurants. In December, four armed men entered Ni.Do. Caffe and robbed several diners, including Miami Heat player Roger Mason Jr.
This past weekend, two men abducted a woman outside a restaurant at 1026 N. Miami Beach Blvd. in North Miami Beach. According to the Miami Herald, the woman was forced into the back of a car, raped, and then taken to multiple fast-food restaurants in North Miami-Dade. The suspects then dropped her off near her home.
