Outstanding in the Field is known for selecting farmers who produce the highest quality products.
Chef Alex Pinero of Sustain was the honored chef of the night, and created a medley of dishes inspired by Hani's various goat cheeses.
For $190, guests were given a wine and hors d'oeuvre reception, along with a four-course wine paired meal made with ingredients sourced from other South Florida farmers including: Paradise Farms, Teena's Pride, Knauss Berry Farm, and Bee Heaven's Farm.

This ceviche was bright, tart, tender from the shrimp and finished sweetly from the corn.
The tomato marmalade with aged goat cheese on crostini was sweet and savory, which was contrasted with the deep, smooth richness of the calabaza soup.

Due to technical difficulties (propane tank malfunction) the dinner ended up lasting four hours, but the time flew by in the company of friendly foodies. Congratulations to Hani and the other farmers who have been acknowledged and honored by Outstanding in the Field.
