For years, now, Miami has had a love affair with Ms. Cheezious, the sexy little food truck that offers delicious, gooey gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches.

Now, it seems as though the rest of the country has caught on. The Daily Meal recently released its 101 Best Food Trucks in America list, with the Miami food truck (which also has a brick and mortar) making it to the top of the heap.

Though this is the fourth year the Daily Meal has compiled its top food truck list, 2015's food truck countdown was based solely on the counts from a public survey. In all, 2,662 responses and 5,634 votes (voters were allowed to vote for multiple food trucks) were tallied up, with the results compiled to name the 101 best food trucks in the U.S. According to The Daily Meal, only food trucks serving meals could be eligible, so trucks offering only coffee or desserts were omitted, along with food carts. As the food website put it, "If it can't get a parking ticket, it can't be on the list."

Although Miami's food truck scene has shrunk from its plateau a few years ago that saw hundreds of mobile eateries in the South Florida area, three local food trucks made the list. It's probably no coincidence that all three also have brick-and-mortar locations, proving their commitment to longevity and good food. Dim Ssam a Gogo came in at #99 in the rankings, Jefe's Original Fish Taco and Burgers claimed the #60 spot, with Ms. Cheezious taking first place in the entire country.

Ms. Cheezious' Brian and Fatima Mullins were ecstatic to receive the news, saying, "We are very excited and proud to have made it to first place. We are also very thankful to our hard working, amazing team who help us succeed every day."

If you want to nab America's best grilled cheese sammie, come out to Ms. Cheezious' restaurant on Biscayne Boulevard this Thursday, August 20 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for free lunch, courtesy of MyHabit. The online fashion site is hosting a pop-up shop filled with items specially curated for Miami.

To entice you to spend your lunch hour perusing fashion, they're offering free sandwiches including some Ms. Cheezious classics, as well as the custom MyHabit Melt (a take on a traditional Cuban sandwich). You can choose from the croqueta monsieur (ham croquettes, tavern ham, Swiss cheese, and béchamel on sourdough bread); crabby cheese melt (fresh-made-real-deal crab salad and sharp cheddar cheese on sourdough bread), southern fried chicken & waffle melt (Southern fried Murray’s chicken & cheddar on house-made buttermilk waffles, served with sides of country gravy and maple syrup; goat cheese & prosciutto (goat cheese, prosciutto, tomato, and arugula on marble rye bread). Why so generous? Thursday is also the day MyHabit's Shop by City Miami site launches online.

When you stop in for a free bite, don't forget to say congratulations to Ms. Cheezious for being the best food truck in the country!
