This weekend is all about staying cool and having fun.
How about nitro ice cream delivered to your doorstep or a cool walk down a red carpet? Or, maybe you'd rather channel your inner Spaniard with a paella and sangria brunch? If all else fails, hop a ferry to the Bahamas and party with Shaq.
Your weekend starts now!
Zest Mrkt Pop-Up Opens Today
Cindy Hutson's Zest Mrkt pops up today as a preview to her new restaurants Zest and Zest Mrkt. The pop-up, located in the lobby of Southeast Financial Center at 200 S. Biscayne Blvd. will be open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will offer a host of breakfast and lunch options including egg dishes, sandwiches, soups and salads, as well as desserts supporting our local dessert divas, fruit juices, smoothies, coffee and more. Menu items include a soup of the day (today it's tomato-kaffir lime bisque with goat cheese crouton); sandwiches like the Jamaica Me Crazy (spicy grilled jerk chicken with caramelized sweet onions and green apples, brie, and ginger-scotch bonnet aioli); and a Faroe Island salmon salad with farm-fresh greens, grape tomatoes, capers, cucumbers, and avocado green goddess dressing.
Uber Delivers your Ice Cream
Screw what taxi drivers say -— we love Uber. Today, July 24, the company wants to give you a lift of sorts and it doesn't require leaving your house. Uber wants to deliver Lulu's Nitrogen Ice Cream to you. Here's how it works. Today, between 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., open the Uber app and request ice cream. You'll have the option of getting five servings of either Nutella or cookies-and-cream ice cream delivered to your doorstep for $25. Or, choose the party option, and Lulu's will come to your house and make enough nitrogen ice cream for 15 people for $15 (sounds like the perfect way to end the work week). Want to make the deal even better? Pay with your Capital One credit card and enter promo code SWEETDEAL for a free additional order of ice cream. Of course, there's a hashtag to share your frozen treats — #UberIceCream.
Naked Taco and Shaquille O'Neal Take Over Bimini
You've seen the snappy jingles that claim, "It's better in the Bahamas". This weekend, that phrase couldn't be more appropriate when celebrity chef Ralph Pagano brings his South Beach party spot, Naked Taco to Resorts World Bimini for a taco takeover this weekend. The fun starts tonight, July 24, at 7 p.m., when the Bimini SuperFast departs from PortMiami with cocktails and Naked Taco treats onboard. On Saturday, Pagano hosts an epic Naked Taco beach party with some of his friends — including DJ Vertigo, DJ Irie, and Shaquille O'Neal. Seriously, you're going to party with Shaq! Of course, this being chef Pagano, you never know who else might show up. It's not too late to get in on the action before the ferry sails tonight. The weekend starts at $299 per person and includes your round-trip transportation, two-night hotel stay, a casino fun pack, a $50 Naked Taco gift certificate, and a VIP experience at the Naked Taco beach party. Check out rwbimini.com/nakedtaco for details.

Arroz con Amigos Paella Brunch at Klima
Make plans to meet your amigos (or amigas) at Klima Restaurant and Bar for the Arroz con Amigos brunch on Saturday, July 25. Starting at noon until 4 p.m., enjoy Miami's first paella-centric brunch that includes three different versions of the classic dish originating from Valencia in Spain. Choose from meat, fish, or veggie paella — or try all three, along with a salad buffet and house made sangria for $50 per person (excluding tax and tip). It's like a trip to Spain without the flight.
