Labor Day weekend gives us the gift of a workday-free Monday, something that's usually few and far between. Now the challenge is how to spend it. Here's a thought: Celebrate at the Pérez Art Museum's terrace picnic with some good ol' fashion American-style grub from the museum's Verde cafe.

Mingle with chefs and foodies at Slow Food Miami's first Snail Social at The Vagabond Tuesday night. Try Hannya's new lunch special in Brickell on Wednesday. And then start the weekend early with dinner and a room at Bagatelle for their Stay and Spice Up promotion. 

Monday:

Labor Day Picnic at PAMM's Verde
Workers, rejoice! Today is Labor Day, and the the Pérez Art Museum wants to spend the day with you. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., head over to the museum's Verde cafe and munch on barbecue specials like burgers, hot dogs, kettle chips, and brownies, and jam to live music by indie funk group Magic City Hippies. And don't fear the heat. Sip on some rum n' punch and mixed drinks for $9 each or wine, beer, soft drinks and lemonade for $6 each. PAMM's galleries will open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free for members and children, $16 for adults, and $12 for youth, seniors, and students. 
Tuesday
Slow Food's Snail Social at The Vagabond
Slow Food Miami's roaming happy hour series kicks off tonight at The Vagabond Restaurant and Bar from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Chat with the Vagabond's Alex Chang and other Miami chefs, local producers, and food supporters in celebration of Miami’s growing season start. Guests can enjoy special happy hour prices on signature bites and cocktails, while discussing the latest in local food culture. Admission is free and open to the public. And good news if you can't make it: The local nonprofit, which supports clean and healthy food, will host various snail social events with Snail of Approval chefs and restaurants throughout Miami on the second Tuesday of every month through June 2016, except for March when the annual Snail of Approval Tasting Party will take place.
Wednesday:
Bento Box Lunch Special at Hannya
It's hump day, and you deserve a meal to kick your midweek lunch break up a notch. The Japanese cuisine restaurant Hannya is now offering a non-traditional bento box to nosh on for lunch. For 10 bucks, the box comes with platters or mixes of your choosing like ton and chicken katsu, sushi rolls, sashimi, and stir fry. Don't have time to grab your box? Hannya offers delivery within a two-mile radius.
Thursday:
Stay and Spice Up at Bagatelle 
Like many Miami eateries, Bagatelle Bistrot at the Villa Bagatelle is a part of Miami Spice. But they're offering a little more than a three-course meal. Spice up your Spice meal with a stay at the Miami Beach hotel.... That means dinner and a room at a discounted price. Now through September 30, book "Stay and Spice Up" and enjoy a 15% discount on their rack rate, plus complimentary valet parking.
