Do you like free Bloody Marys? The Stolichnaya Premium Vodka truck will be slinging free Bloody Marys this Saturday and Sunday at GreenStreet Cafe in Coconut Grove.

Miami is the launch city for the Stoli campaign, Search for Mary, which begins its quest this weekend. Along the way, the truck will travel to several cities, including Dallas and New York City, to search for the perfect Bloody Mary.

The truck will be parked by GreenStreet and Lulu on Saturday and Sunday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. During that time, workers will be handing out signature Bloody Marys, mixed with McClure's bloody mary mix, their partner in the quest.

Barby Marino, South Florida's Stoli brand ambassador, will be there handing out cures for your Saturday or Sunday morning hangover. What's the cure for a Bloody Mary hangover? More Bloody Marys, of course.

There isn't any perfect Bloody Mary contest per se, but the tour is a way for U.S. regions to show off their take on the famous cocktail. You see, every city has its own version of the Bloody Mary. "We want to see what unique ingredients people are using to make bloody marys their own," Marino says.

For being a historically white liquor city, Miami has it's own version of a Stoli vodka Bloody Mary -- the Caprese Mary, like a Caprese salad:

Caprese Mary

Yield: one drink

  • Two parts Stolichnaya Premium Vodka or Stoli Citros
  • 1/2 part Triple Sec
  • 1/2 part simple syrup
  • 1/2 part lemon juice
  • a squeeze of lime
  • Four cherry tomatoes
  • Three basil leaves
  • Some mozzarella cheese

1. Mix ingredients in cocktail shaker, add ice.

2. Mix in cocktail shaker.

3. Pour into a high ball glass.

4. Add four cherry tomatoes, three basil leaves and some mozzarella on a toothpick for a garnish, then top with celery salt.

For a simple Stoli and McClure's cocktail, add two parts Stoli and four parts McClure's bloody mary mix.

Pictures will also be taken at the truck and be tagged with the #searchformary hashtag on Twitter and Instagram. You can also use the tag for your own pictures. Stoli's and Marinos handles are @BarbyMarino and @Stoli.

After Miami, the Stoli truck will move a bit north to Broward County, stopping at Oceans 234 Beach, Bar, and Bistro on Saturday, February 22, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. then moving to the Village Pub at Wilton Manors from 4-8 p.m. on the same day. Then the Stoli truck returns on February 23 at Village Pub once again from 12-4 p.m., then 5-9 p.m. at Scandal's Saloon before leaving the state.
