October 11 is set as the date for a much-anticipated debut of
Cecconi's Miamiin the new Soho Beach House. This will be the third outpost of Cecconi's, the Venetian-influenced menu already being served in other Soho Houses. Executive chef at the Miami branch is northern Italian native Sergio Sigala. Sergio is known locally for his sparkling ten-year stint heading the kitchen at Casa Tua, but he has likewise worked in Michelin-starred restaurants Al Bersagliere in Goito, Italy, and Ristorante Villa Fiordaliso in Lake Garda, Italy.
Sigala plans to add his own spin to the roster of Cecconi favorites
already established at other venues. Menu highlights include Wood-Oven
Roast Scallops with Pancetta and Rosemary; Kobe Beef Tartare with
Truffle and Pecorino; Burrata, Red Onion and Fresh Tomato Pizza; Maine
Lobster with House-made Spaghetti; Veal Ossobuco with Gremolata; and a
selection of prime steaks served with truffle jus and garlic confit.
There will be a 230-bottle wine list.
The 150-seater in Miami is located on the ground floor of the Beach
House (the recently renovated Art Deco Sovereign Hotel). The original
SoHo House, founded in London,1978, was modeled after Cipriani in
Venice. It is a members-only club, but the public will be welcome to
Cecconi's.
