Buns & Buns, the cryptic bakery/restaurant with the "cheeky" teaser video is finally scheduled to open at the beginning of the new year.
Though the owners aren't saying much about the new concept, the menu will focus on freshly baked breads, an "exotic blend of handcrafted sauces and spices," and many meat, seafood, and vegetable dishes. All dishes are inspired by the owners' world journeys (and judging by the pictures on the restaurant's Facebook page, we'd say we're in for a global journey, indeed).

Of course, the name of the restaurant is Buns & Buns, not Meat & Seafood, so each meal will start with a choice of freshly baked bun or bread, such as a butter-basted brioche or garlic naan stuffed with fontina and aged white cheddar.
Then a grill item is added, such as pan-roasted chili shrimp ($15); deckle of beef marinated in sweet soy, sriracha, toasted coriander seeds, and cilantro; or steamed mussels ($10).
Buns & Buns will also offer salads like burrata with char-grilled tomatoes ($10) and filo salad, a mix of watercress, greens, and pomegranate seeds, topped with crisp filo strips marinated in chili oil and tossed in a zesty citrus dressing ($10).
Buns & Buns will be open for lunch and dinner daily.
