Brew at the Zoo Pours Over Zoo Miami This Saturday
Beer: that frothy, refreshing drink with the power to turn your mediocre existence into an exciting, exhilarating experience. It's a drink that should be celebrated -- nay, honored. That's why at New Times, we put on events like Brew at the Zoo.
In its fifth year, Brew at the Zoo (or BATZ, as it's referred to endearingly) takes over Zoo Miami this Saturday night to offer you loads of craft beer choices, enough to make visions of winged beer pints dance in your head.
With more than 100 local and international beers, BATZ offers suds from Dogfish, Daddy Brews, Goose Island, Honkers Ale, Magic Hat, and the Miami Brewing Company, to name just a handful. Drink samples are unlimited, so pace yourself and save room for the tasty food that will also be available.
Aside from all the boozin' and eatin', there will also be animals. But perhaps the wildest of them all will take center stage for a rappin' flashback to the '90s.
It's time to "stop, collaborate, and listen" to Vanilla Ice, baby.
As he takes you back to the decade when overalls were fashionable, you can drink to the point where it's socially acceptable to break it down, Hammer-time-style.
If things could get any better for you and your beer-loving friends, New Times' Voice Daily Deals is offering a one-day-only deal on group tickets. Get a four-pack of general admission tickets for $80 (regular price is $160 -- that's a 50 percent savings). But hurry -- the offer ends at midnight today.
Brew at the Zoo takes place at Zoo Miami this Saturday, May 3, from 8 to 11 p.m. Regular-priced tickets until Friday, May 2, cost $40 for general admission and $75 for the VIP experience; tickets at the gate during the event cost $50 for general admission and $80 for VIP. The event is 21 and older, rain or shine. Visit newtimesbrewatthezoo.com.
