Ago, the Italian restaurant tucked in the back of the Shore Club, will become the Shore Club Terrace this Thursday.

According to manager Stefania DiFelice, Ago's lease was up at the end of August, and the restaurant decided not to renew. Morgans Hotel Group, owner of the Shore Club, will take over operations of the restaurant, which will basically keep the current Italian menu intact for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The restaurant will undergo minor renovations, beginning September 15,

for about two weeks. During this period, the Shore Club Terrace will not close but, according to

DiFelice, there might be a limited menu because much of the work will be done on the kitchen.

Ago opened in 2003 as a partnership with Robert De Niro. Its sister restaurants in Los Angeles and Las Vegas remain open.
