Fall semester has begun at Florida International University's School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, which means the $18 lunch deal is back! Students in the school's Advanced Foodservice Management classes, under the direction of Chef Mike Moran and Chef Roger Probst, host, serve, and prepare the lunch every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday through December 3.
Seating has been added this fall due to the increasing popularity of
the program. Menus change weekly, but always include an appetizer or
salad, bread, choice of entree, dessert, glass of wine, and coffee. For
example: Caesar Salad; Duck Breast with Orange Gastrique or Baked Red
Snapper Provençal; Bananas Foster.
Lunches take place at the school's dining room at HM Building, room
129, Biscayne Bay Campus. Seating begins promptly at 11:45am. Dress
code is business casual. Reservations are available by calling Roger
Ledesma at 305-919-4526 and must be paid in advance via check or cash.
Checks can be made payable to "FIU." Cancellations must be made at
least two days in advance to receive a reimbursement.
