46. Meatballs at Macaluso's

Long before meatballs were trendy, chef/owner Michael D'Andrea was rolling out his meatballs on a nightly basis at his Italian-American eatery, Macaluso's. These traditional all-beef meatballs are served with savory tomato sauce and a heaping spoonful of ricotta cheese. More than the beef, cheese, garlic, and spices, diners can taste the love, for the recipe has been in D'Andrea's family for decades. For a crisp twist, ask for them served over the signature Macaluso's salad.
