  • Big Bucks on a Losing Cause

Yesterday Banana Republican filled you in on the folks who made a buck ensuring Lincoln and Mario Diaz-Balart, as well as Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, held onto their congressional seats. Today we look at the people who made a chunk of change on the failed campaigns of Democratic losers Joe Garcia, Raul Martinez, and Annette Taddeo. The following information is based on campaign financial reports filed with the Federal Elections Commission. Let's begin with Martinez's spending spree on Spanish-langu

  • Gordon Ramsay Looking For Local Restaurants to Embarrass on National TV

There are so many reality tv shows on network television these days, that I've really lost track. Apparently the Fox television network allows this ornery British chef Gordon Ramsay to have not one, but two reality series run on it's airwaves. This second one which I've never heard of until now, "Kitchen Nightmares," features Ramsey coming into poorly run restaurants, screaming at people, and then somehow magically turning the place into a respectable joint. The first two seasons (seriously, thi

  • MegaTV Gets Univision's Disgraced Leftovers

Fernando del Rincón used to have a good gig on Univision's Primer Impacto, anchoring alongside his wife, Carmen Dominicci. Then things took a turn toward the telenovela. The pair split. Rincón had allegedly had an affair, and then Dominicci publically accused him of abuse. Univision fired her, while keeping an alleged wife beater on-air, but a week later, the station fired him too. For the record, Rincón says there was no abuse -- his wife just really needed to find that dildo. • Bridget's Sexiest Beaches Obligatory Miami Episode Airs Tomorrow

Bridget Marquardt, who rose to fame as one of Hugh Heffner's three girlfriends on Girls Next Door, has the best job in the world. Basically she gets to travel the world touring beaches on Travel channel's dime for her new show Bridget's Sexiest Beaches. It's not going to win her a Noble prize or anything (unless they introduce a medal for tanning), but deep down you know you're secretly jealous. Tomorrow night's episode features Playa Jaco in Costa Rico, and Miami Beach in, well, here. For

  • Mega TV's Daisy Ballmajó's Nude Pictures Leak Online and She is Not Happy About It

One of Miami-based Mega TV's most popular show is Paparazzi TV Sensacional, and there m.o. is pretty much what the title implies: sensational paparazzi fodder! You know reporting on the private lives of celebrities, jumping on scandals, and having a hey day when nude celebrity pictures or sex tapes are leaked. So what happens when one of their own anchors, Daisy Ballmajó, has her nudie pix leaked on the internet? She gets downright indignant about it and sics her lawyer on anyone who

  • Bruce Weber's Liberty City Is Like Paris to Me Debuts on Sundance Channel This Month

via Sundance ChannelGoogle Image search "Bruce Weber," and it might be easy to dismiss the photographer as a bit obsessed with nudity in black-and-white. After all, Weber is responsible for just about every softcore porn-style image associated with Abercrombie & Fitch, not to mention a few Calvin Klein underwear campaigns. But the part-time Miami resident might be one of the most important active artists that calls the city home. He's already shown his love for the town by
