  • Live Nation Dropping Service Fees Again on Wednesday

It seems as if the last time they did this it went well so on Wednesday, Live Nation is again dropping all the service fees for shows at Live Nation-sponsored venues. That means, any shows at The Cruzan, Mizner, Pompano Beach, or Bayfront Park Amphitheaters will be a few dollars cheaper. This offer is only available online from 12:01 am until midnight on Wednesday June 10. For a list of shows currently scheduled, hit the jump.

  • No Service Fee Wednesday Continues with All-In Tickets

It seems like this is going to be a habit: This Wednesday, Live Nation is offering another special deal for a whole bunch of upcoming shows at the Cruzan Amphitheatre. Exactly $24.99 will buy you lawn tickets for the list of shows after the jump. That means no user fees, convenience fees, or web-fees, just a penny under $25 and you're good to go. This sale is good today only, so get those orders in by midnight or you're screwed... Or you could probably do it again next Wednesday, but that's just

  • Live Nation Discounting Four- and Six-Packs of Tickets

This week's Live Nation Wednesday deal isn't the greatest unless you've got 3-5 people you can persuade to your musical tastes. In what's becoming a weekly event, Live Nation is dropping the service fees on four packs and six packs to a slew of events this summer (Hit the jump for the list). These packs of tickets are already discounted, so when you factor in the lack of service fees, you're looking at saving almost half the ticket price for some of these shows. As always, the deal is only good

  • Q&A With Tom Araya of Slayer, Headlining Mayhem Festvial at Cruzan on August 12!

photo by Mark SeligerFor all his band's purported fascinations with life's uglier aspects, Slayer frontman Tom Araya sure is a cheerful guy. Calling from a moving bus in rural Washington state, Araya laughs seemingly every couple of minutes. Surely, though, it's this laissez-faire sense of humor that's gotten him through almost three decades of leading one of the most notorious, most influential metal bands on the planet. That's not an understatement. Nor should one take Araya's relatively chi

  • Concert Review: Judas Priest at Hard Rock Live, August 17

Judas PriestMonday, August 17Hard Rock Live, HollywoodBetter Than: A case of the MondaysThe Review:Classic metal shows are always an excellent bang for the buck -- see previous reviews on local shows by Iron Maiden or Slayer, for example. The bands are drawing on years of a critic- and fan-vetted catalog, so as a fan, you're guaranteed to like at least 90 percent of the songs played. So will everyone around you, who will generally be drunk, possibly sunburned, and generally good-natured and u

  • Q&A With Converge, Playing With Mastodon and Dethklok November 8

photo by Matt MillerConverge, with Jacob Bannon second from rightTo the uninitiated, the Massachusetts quartet Converge can be downright terrifying. And it's not because they appear clad in face paint or leather and chains -- this underground punk-bred foursome would never waste time on costume-like trappings. Rather, part of the reason they are so scary is because they are so physically unassuming, but so loud, and so clearly do not give a fuck. And neither does their crowd, famous for
