  • Miami Bass Warriors on Pitbull's La Esquina, Blowfly on Chocolate News

Who let these guys on TV all in one night? No clue, but they deserve a gold star for making the evening boob tube schedule just a little bit more full of major LOLs. First up tonight, if you get Mun2 (actually, relatively few people do, so check your cable listings), check out La Esquina, the show hosted amusingly by Pitbull. He's showing love to fellow Calle Ocho/saguesera denizens by airing a video by the Miami Bass Warriors. If you don't know, that's a group comprising Crossfade/New Times fa

  • Miami Bass Warriors "Going Back to Calle Ocho" Video Premiere

Yesterday, we told you that Otto Von Schirach, Jose El Rey and El Tigre, who together form Miami Bass Warriors, would make their small-screen debut on Pitbull's La Esquina on mun2. Their video for (their only song?) "Going Back to Calle Ocho" -- which we're pretty sure is play on Notorious B.I.G.'s "Going Back to Cali" but we haven't really asked actually, it's a play on LL Cool J's "Going Back to Cali" -- debuted at the start of the episode. Jose El Rey and El Tigre perform along with the Warriors' newest member Debbie D., formerly of Avenue D, as well a entire group of back dancers. Yes, finally another song other than "Going Back to Calle Ocho." I've also been told they are working on a full-l

  • Review: Miami Bass Warriors, Miami Bass Warriors 12"

Miami Bass WarriorsMiami Bass Warriors 12"(Palm Tree Snuff/¿Que Pasa M.I.A.?)You ever stand around and realize that you are completely surrounded by fucking children? Yeah, it happens... that's how old age dawns upon you and it don't matter how cool and with it your little record collection is, you'll be hard-pressed to explain to the "kids" what it is all about. So, realizing my worth as narrator here, let's see what the Miami Bass Warriors (MBW) do: other than make me out to be the square
