The local alt-rock trio Corner 3
may have only formed in 2007, but the band is based on a longtime friendship,
begun when the trio's members were students at Columbus High in the Eighties.
Frontman/guitarist/keyboardist John Lopez and bassist/vocalist Rick Sanchez
began their music collaboration while still in school, and over the years
have played together in a number of bands. (The threesome is rounded out by
drummer Ivan Palma.)

Fresh off dropping their longtime record label Geffen, Counting Crows is going on tour and making a stop in Miami at Bayfront Amphitheater. The Counting Crows, who were huge for a few years in the 90s with the single "Mr. Jones", have been not so steadily touring ever since. Lead singer Adam Duritz suffered his share of nervous breakdowns, had to take time off due to medical issues and time in the studio recording all took turns interrupting the touring, but that shouldn't happen this time aroun
It seems as if the last time they did this it went well so on Wednesday, Live Nation is again dropping all the service fees for shows at Live Nation-sponsored venues. That means, any shows at The Cruzan, Mizner, Pompano Beach, or Bayfront Park Amphitheaters will be a few dollars cheaper.
