  • The Mother Of All Mother Duckers

So Basel, Pulse, Design Miami/ and Scope all had duck inspired pieces, which sort of bewildered us, but that was hardly the biggest ducky art news of the week. Franca Sozzani, the editor of Vogue Italia, was in town to unveil, hey, guess what, a giant resin duck by British artist Stuart Semple at The Raleigh. The piece was an ode to luxury sportswear lable Moncler, and will be auctioned of in February for the kids. Fashionites including Bruce Weber, Roxanne Lowit, Bob Colacello, Thom Browne, and

  • L'Uomo Vogue Loves Miami

Oh, how nice of L'Uomo Vogue, the Italian fashion magazine for discerning men, to write our fair city a 100 page love letter in their latest issue. If the Miami Beach tourist board was hoping to capitalize on the success of Dostana by luring gay curious Indian tourists, they might want to set their efforts on Italian Dandies next. Webber even has some suggestions for their next ad campaign. We've found

  • The Week That Was: Showin' How Funky Strong Is Your Fight

photo via JustJaredPhotographer (and Miami resident) Bruce Weber shot Michael Jackson back in 2007 for the cover of L'Uomo Vogue. It was one of the pop icon's last major photo shoots.RIP Michael Jackson. RIP urban legend that Thriller was shot in Coconut Grove. Some tabloid claimed Alberto Cutié is gay, but he, obviously, denied this. In fact, he's getting married to a real life lady tonight, in a church. Gloria Estefan bought a small piece of the Miami Dolphins, because she loves the sport

  • Bruce Weber's Liberty City Is Like Paris to Me Debuts on Sundance Channel This Month

via Sundance ChannelGoogle Image search "Bruce Weber," and it might be easy to dismiss the photographer as a bit obsessed with nudity in black-and-white. After all, Weber is responsible for just about every softcore porn-style image associated with Abercrombie & Fitch, not to mention a few Calvin Klein underwear campaigns. But the part-time Miami resident might be one of the most important active artists that calls the city home. He's already shown his love for the town by
