  Oh look, a hotelier is allegedly dating a Bravo reality star. No, we're not talking about Baron Hilton and PC Peterson. According to Life & Style, André Balazs and Kelly Bensimon were seen "getting close" during fashion week. Balazs owns The Standard and The Raleigh and for years dated actress Uma Thurman. • Fancy Vending Machine Board Shorts Include Hidden Scavenger Hunt

  ​Does that headline make any sense to you? We're feeling a touch of the surreal today, so we went with that over "Standard Hotels Teams with Quicksilver," which is indeed what this is all about. André Balazs' Standard boutique hotel chain teamed up with Quicksilver, titan of the mall surf store industry, to produce a line of shorts based on each of the four Standard locations. They're a bit retro, with a '70s length that hits mid-thigh, but made with modern materials and fits.

• Andre Balazs Exits Miami with Sale of the Raleigh

  ​First the models began leaving South Beach, and now, almost predictably, so is painfully hip hotelier Andre Balazs. According to the Miami Herald, Balazs is set to sell the Raleigh, which the newspaper describes as "a favorite stop for celebrities and local hipsters." The sale will take Balazs almost completely out of town.
